When I’m not working, you can find me jogging or going for long walks. You can also find me eating out with my wife and three daughters. I love to read, and watch movies and basketball. I enjoy having wine and cheese parties with my siblings.
How did you come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior?
I was raised as a Roman Catholic. As a high school student, I was constantly searching for Truth. I would read theology books, attend retreats and Bible studies. I was always fascinated with what I observed in the universe as evidence of an intelligent being responsible for the creation of everything. In my search for Truth, I found Christ. I don’t remember the date and I don’t remember the circumstance. Maybe there wasn’t a single date that it happened. It was more of a gradual realization over the years that I was meant for relationship with Christ.
When Pastor Charlie was the Sr. Pastor, my eldest brother was stricken with cancer. By some strange coincidence (or maybe not), his sermons at that time dealt with hope amidst suffering. During his sermons, I felt like he knew about all the suffering my brother and our family was going through. It seemed like he was reading my diary and was preaching to address my needs. But the truth was, I DIDN’T have a diary. Pastor Charlie didn’t even know me. I realized then that he was anointed by God to help me go through a very difficult time. My brother survived. My faith has increased ever since.
I've been searching for Christ ever since grade school. I won't say that I found him, but I will say that he found me. I don't know when I realized it, but I could tell that he was calling me, that he wanted me to have a personal relationship with him. Now here I am, serving him in a church - the best job that I've ever had.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
