Rhona Bautista

Head Librarian

As Head Librarian, Rhon performs the administrative, supervisory, and professional work in planning and delivering library services. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the library. She also manages the training of volunteers and interns, as well as facilitate a Bible Study for them.

Working with the volunteers and going out to communities for skills training gives her an opportunity not only to share her knowledge and skills, but also to learn from them and witness God’s compassion and love through their own life’s journey.

When she is not in the library, you can find her taking care of her 2 adorable Pom fur babies “Oreo & Willow”, trying out a new recipe, going out, traveling with friends, or watching films.

How did you come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior?

I came to accept the Lord as my Savior in 2006. But I only realized God’s plan unfolding for me and the ministry in 2007. He directed me to a path where I can grow as a Christian. The skills that I have developed over the years while still in the social movement were put into use in developing projects and organizing activities for the church such as setting-up of mobile libraries in communities, Gideon’s Flame Media Ministry, and the internship program in the library ministry. These led me to studying His Word, learning how good He is, and realizing my purpose and passion. I feel that I’m finally home and growing in His love.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
