Rhona Bautista

Head Librarian

What do you do for UCM?

As Head Librarian, I perform the administrative, supervisory, and professional work in planning and delivering library services. I’m responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the library. I manage the training and internship program of the volunteers and interns, as well as facilitate a Bible Study for them.

How did you come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior?

I came to accept the Lord as my Savior in 2006. But I only realized God’s plan unfolding for me and the ministry in 2007. He directed me to a path where I can grow as a Christian. The skills that I have developed over the years while still in the social movement were put into use in developing projects and organizing activities for the church such as Gideon’s Flame Christian Film Festival and the internship program in the library ministry. These led me to studying His Word, learning how good He is, and realizing my purpose and passion. I feel that I’m finally home and growing in His love.

What is your life verse?

Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.””

What do you love about serving Jesus at UCM?
Working with the volunteers gives me an opportunity not only to share my knowledge and skills, but also to learn from them and witness God’s compassion and love through their own life’s journey.

When I’m not in the library, you can find me going out with friends or traveling with them, reading books, or playing online games.
