According to the UCM By-Laws, the AMM needs to be held and conducted on-campus.

This on-campus requirement presents a greater challenge this year given the limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, it is of critical importance that Union Church reaches a quorum of 50% + 1 attendance in-person or by proxy in order for UCM to hold the AMM. With the current restrictions and even a possible upgrading of the quarantine level due to the new Covid strain, it is crucial that the church receives your filled-out Proxy Forms.

Ways to access and submit your Proxy Form:

1. Through Email

  • Download and print the Proxy Form from the link provided above
  • Fill-out and sign
  • Take a picture of the filled out form
  • Reply to with the attached picture of the Proxy Form

2. If you are attending the In-Person Sunday Service

  • Printed Proxy Forms are available in the Sanctuary
  • Fill-out and sign the form
  • Drop your form in the Offering Box or the Proxy Form Box provided on your way out to the Legazpi street exit

If you need to remain at home, you may request for your Proxy Form to be picked-up from your residence by calling UCM (8812-6062).

Each year, the Nominating Committee is tasked with the responsibility of recommending to Council new
members who will replace the outgoing Council members. If the names that are recommended to Council are
approved, they are then presented at the Annual Members’ Meeting for approval by the congregation. Further, the committee is tasked with the responsibility of presenting two names to the congregation who will fill the two seats that are being vacated on the Nominating Committee each year.

All those from within the UCM congregation are encouraged to provide the committee with names from within the congregation who they feel would serve well as leaders of the church. The submitted names for potential church leadership will be presented to the congregation.

At the Annual Members’ Meeting, voting is held to approve the slate of nominees as presented to the church body by the Council and the Nominating Committee. This vote includes all the new Council members and the two individuals being recommended for the Nominating Committee each year.
